Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh is hitting cinemas on March 26th, after almost 3 years of waiting in the production pipeline. On this eve, director Harish Shankar has met the media folks, sitting for a round table interview, sharing a lot of thoughts on the film’s content and the happenings.

During this interaction, Harish Shankar was questioned with the famous dialogue “Glass means not size, but Sainyam” is not a political punch, and the Director stated that the dialogue had come out long before the elections happened. Also, he clarified that those dialogues are personality-elevating punchlines, but not political satire.

“I didn’t bring a ‘glass tumbler’ into Ustaad Bhagat Singh suddenly, but even in Gabbar Singh back in 2012, we have this cutting-chai glass there. So, I’ve written dialogues only to glorify his personality and the character he’s playing in the movie, but that doesn’t mean I’m throwing political satires quite conveniently under the veil,” said Harish.

Harish Shankar further added: “Glass is not a piece, but it’s a sainyam. is something I’ve written to tell you that even when a person breaks, he will become stronger. As Pawan Kalyan garu is in the position of Deputy CM, it will not be ethical to score political satires on others, and that’s why I’ve said we haven’t done anything such inside the movie.
