You Need Gabbar Singh, But Not Remake? What’s GS Then?
Director Harish Shankar claims to be a staunch and die-hard fan of Pawan Kalyan, and often keeps asking fans what they expect from their demi-god through his films.

Of course, he has carved out Gabbar Singh a decade back when social media and fan-opinion sharing was not even there, and now he has come out with Ustaad Bhagat Singh. Sharing his thoughts, Harish stated that Pawan Kalyan fans, at least some of the fans, are oxymorons.
“I’ve met a few of the fans, who say, Anna, we want something like that of Gabbar Singh, but not a remake. I do ask them back, ‘What is Gabbar Singh then?’ That’s also a remake only,” said Harish Shankar. “Some fans speak oxymorons,” he added. Oxymorons means speaking something that contradicts itself, like asking for Gabbar Singh but not a remake. Well, while Harish Shankar has won instant attention with his statement, it looks like he has completely failed to understand the intention of the fans.
In fact, Pawan Kalyan fans are saying that rather than picking up some lousy remake movies, they want something stronger, entertaining and engaging like Gabbar Singh. Maybe the original Dabangg of Gabbar Singh is equally entertaining, but Harish developed the Telugu version quite well, packaging it with very good sequences, fun and action. But later on, his alterations for movies like Gaddalakonda Ganesh and Mr Bachhan, deviating from the original plot, have resulted in drastic disasters. Fans meant that, actually!
