The pre-release event of Ustaad Bhagat Singh was held in a grand way in Hyderabad. The film stars Pawan Kalyan in the lead role and is directed by Harish Shankar. During the event, Harish Shankar spoke openly about the journey of the movie and shared interesting details about how the story changed during development.

The director admitted that he was the main reason behind the delay of the film. He explained that the script went through many changes before it reached the final version. Harish Shankar said, "I myself was the reason for the delay and also the preponement of the film."

He also revealed that the original idea of the story was very different. According to him, the film was first planned as a story similar in tone to the romantic drama Kushi. The story focused on two young people who fall in love but separate due to ego issues.

Harish Shankar explained the concept by saying, "I first imagined this movie as a kind of extension to Kushi. We started with the idea of two people who fall apart as students because of ego, and then meet again as lecturers in the same college, still continuing that ego."

However, the director later felt that the story did not have enough heroism and strong mass elements. Because of that, he decided to change the idea completely. He said, "But I felt there wasn’t enough heroism in it and that it was limited to just fun, so I myself didn’t like it."

Harish Shankar also spoke emotionally about working with Pawan Kalyan. He said that the actor supported him during a difficult phase in his life. "When I was in a very low phase, Pawan Kalyan came into my life like God and told me, ‘Let’s do a film.’ Pawan Kalyan literally poured his soul into this film."

The director also praised the other actors in the movie. He said R. Parthiban has a magical screen presence and gave many useful suggestions during the shoot. Veteran actor K. S. Ravikumar also played an important role in the film.
