Sharwanand Losing Credence, Must Bounce Back

There was once a time when talented hero Sharwanand was projected to be the next big thing in Tollywood, thanks to his impressive script selection, and the ability to appeal to the wider section of the audience. But things have gone South for him with poor script choices, and consecutive failures at the box office.

In this context, the latest series of events associated with the recent film from Sharwa - Manamey is having a sorry story to tell. The film released in theatres roughly a year ago, and it was a watch out at the ticket counters. A year after the release, it could finally find an OTT partner in the form of Amazon prime.

But again, Sharwa really needs to get things back on track as the audience appear to be expecting more from him. The credibility that he had earlier as a good script selector is on the verge of diminishing. He went from being a renowned and reputed tier 2 hero to a struggling hero now as he appears to have lost the tier 2 tag as well now due to poor creative choices back to back with poorly made films.

With other interesting options like Rekthacharitram(Malayalam) on SonyLIV and Dabba Cartel on Netflix, people are showing very little interest in Manamey which is again a result of the dull form of Sharwa. The initial streaming trends are suggesting that Sharwa is not getting much recognition, even on OTT and he needs to bounce back at the earliest.

The fact that Sharwa had already lost the majority of his prominence at the ticket counters was proving to be detrimental enough. To make matters worse, now, he appears to be losing his grip on OTT as well. It appears to have reached a point where the audience are not too interested in Sharwa’s content now.

The issue is pretty serious now, and it is a matter of time before Sharwa has to reignite his lost sheen. He has Sharwa 36, which is a dirt bike adventure thriller and then, Nari Nari Naduma Murari which are the upcoming films of Sharwa.

The onus is on the actor to regain his lost market with these upcoming films. Or else, things could get really tricky for the talented hero sooner than later, if it hasn’t already.
