There is growing talk in film and political circles that Himanshu Rao, son of BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), could make his entry into the Telugu film industry.
Himanshu is not from a traditional film family. His father is a prominent political leader in Telangana. Now, reports about Himanshu possibly entering films have created interest among movie fans and political circles.
According to the latest buzz, efforts are being made to introduce Himanshu to Tollywood. There is also talk that he could be introduced as a lead actor. However, there is no official information about the film, director, production house or his role yet.
This is not the first time that Himanshu’s interest in films has been discussed. He was reportedly offered a chance to act in a short film when he was younger. However, he did not take up the opportunity as he wanted to concentrate on his studies.
Himanshu has also been noticed for his interest in music and social activities. In the past, his involvement in the development of a government school also received attention. These activities have kept him in the public eye even though he has largely stayed away from politics.
Interestingly, another young member from a prominent Telangana political family is also reportedly being linked with Tollywood. There is speculation that a member of former Rajya Sabha MP Joginipally Santosh Kumar’s family could also enter the film industry.
Santosh Kumar was a Rajya Sabha MP from 2018 to 2024. He is also known for the Green India Challenge initiative. Through this programme, he worked with several popular personalities from the Telugu film industry.
The possibility of young members from two influential Telangana political families entering Tollywood has now become a topic of discussion. If both entries happen, they could attract considerable attention because of their family backgrounds.
