Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2 Eyes ₹30 Crore Hindi Opening

The excitement around War 2 is growing fast. The film stars Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani, and its Hindi version has already sold 50,000 advance tickets by late night on August 11, 2025. Big cinema chains like PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis are seeing strong bookings for the first day. Industry experts believe the total ticket sales before release could cross 1.5 lakh, which may bring a ₹30 crore net opening just in Hindi.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is a big part of Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe. While Hindi ticket sales look promising, the Telugu version bookings will start soon. Analysts say the film might not get the same instant regional boost in the South because it is mostly a Bollywood production. Still, the interest is good.

Some trade insiders say the Hindi advance sales are “good, but not amazing.” Compared to last year’s Bollywood blockbusters, War 2 still needs more buzz to attract a wider audience. On the global front, advance bookings are encouraging. A ₹100 crore worldwide opening day looks possible for this action thriller. However, it faces tough competition from Coolie, expected to earn ₹140 crore on its first day. Still, Hindi films often hold steady after opening, so War 2 could take the lead in the days ahead, especially with its star power and pan-India appeal.
