By: Shanaz B Syed | 8 Aug 2025 12:12 PM ISTA late-night brawl over a parking spot in Delhi’s Jangpura Bhogal Lane has ended in a brutal killing. Around 11 pm on Thursday, a man parked his scooty in the narrow lane. Asif Qureshi, cousin of actress Huma Qureshi, asked him to move it as it was blocking the way. The exchange turned into a heated argument, and within minutes, several men attacked Asif with sharp weapons.
Locals rushed out after hearing the noise and found Asif bleeding on the road. He was taken to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival. His wife, in shock, said he was murdered over something as small as asking a neighbour to remove a vehicle. She said he never imagined such a request could turn deadly.
Police have arrested two men linked to the attack and are looking for others who may have been involved. The weapons used have been recovered and sent for forensic testing. Officers are checking if there was any prior tension between Asif and the accused.
Huma Qureshi, known for films like Kaala, Double XL, Gangubai Kathiawadi and Badlapur, has not yet spoken about the incident. The killing has stunned the neighbourhood and sparked outrage over how quickly petty disputes can turn into violent crimes in the city.
