No Clash Luckily: NTR And Rajinikanth Going Separate Ways?

It is very common to see multiple Indian films, clashing at the box office during festival seasons and long holiday stretches. The same appeared to be the case with this Independence day weekend as well.

Originally, not one, but two superstar driven films Coolie and War 2 were lined up for release this Independence Day week. While it was communicated that Rajinikanth film would be releasing on August 14, it was later confirmed that the NTR and Hrithik Roshan film would be releasing on August 15.

Had these two films, Clash at the box office, there would have been enormous wastage of box Office potential as they would have eaten into each other’s box office prospects.

But luckily, the latest development are suggesting that the makers of these two films have started negotiations, and it is being established that they are confirmed to avoid a clash under any circumstances.

If NTR and Hrithik Roshan’s War 2 arrives on August 15, then the Rajinikanth featuring Coolie will move to a new date. The makers have made it very clear that they will not be arriving in close proximity and only one of them will be keeping hold of the Independence Day weekend slot.

The negotiations are being driven in such a way that both the films are benefited from the holiday weekend and neither of them have to lose box office prospect due to the possibility of a clash.

So the chances are that only one of these two films will be arriving this August 2 weekend, and an official confirmation on which film will be arriving will be made soon.
