Breaking: India Asks OTT, Filmmakers to Remove Pakistani Actors!

As is known, India and Pakistan have been waging an intense warring situation due to the prevailing borderland conditions. After the hugely infamous Pahalgam terrorist attack, the Indian army has been going particularly hard against the Pakistani mechanisms.

On that note, the latest developments are suggesting that the Indian government has taken another measure to cut down the income revenue stream for Pakistani actors and their households.

So, the Indian government has ordered filmmakers and OTT intermediaries to immediately send out Pakistani actors who are working on Indian content making industry.

Several terrorist attacks in India have been established to have cross-border linkages with Pakistan based State and non-State actors. Recently, on 22.04.2025, the terrorist attack in Pahalgam led to the killing of several Indians, one Nepali citizen, and injuries to a number of others.

In the interest of national security, all OTT platforms, media streaming platforms and intermediaries operating in India are advised to discontinue the web-series, films, songs, podcasts and other streaming media content, whether made available on a subscription based model or otherwise, having its origins in Pakistan with immediate effect.

Indian government has made sure to order the Indian OTT platforms and intermediaries to keep the Pakistani actors away from the Indian content making and cinema scene.
