Ravi Teja’s latest film Irumudi is continuing its strong run at the box office. Even after entering its second week, the movie is getting a good response from audiences. The latest second Friday numbers have made the film’s box office journey even more interesting.

According to the reported figures, Irumudi collected around Rs. 12 crore in the Telugu states on its second Friday. With this number, the film has moved ahead of several big Telugu blockbusters. It is now behind only RRR, which recorded around Rs. 15 crore on its second Friday.

The achievement becomes more impressive when compared with some of the biggest films in Tollywood. Baahubali 2 reportedly collected around Rs. 10.5 crore on its second Friday. Pushpa 2 made nearly Rs. 9 crore, while Kalki 2898 AD collected around Rs. 7 crore during the same stage.

These numbers show that Irumudi has managed to maintain strong audience interest even after its opening weekend. The film did not depend only on its initial hype. Positive talk among moviegoers appears to have helped it continue its good performance in the second week.

Irumudi had a strong opening in the Telugu states. The movie reportedly earned around Rs. 50 crore gross during its first weekend. Several major centres recorded good occupancy, helping the film build strong momentum from the beginning.

The movie also reached its reported theatrical recovery target very quickly. Its recovery target of around Rs. 20 crore was said to have been achieved within just two days. The film’s first weekend worldwide gross was estimated at around Rs. 75 crore, making it one of Ravi Teja’s biggest opening weekend performers.

Another important point is that Irumudi has continued its run despite the release of other major films. The movie’s emotional content, family appeal and devotional Ayyappa theme appear to be connecting well with viewers.
