Irumudi: Will Nara Lokesh Stand By Govt Teachers?

Well, the controversy surrounding Raviteja’s latest blockbuster film “Irumudi” is now taking a political turn as the Government Teachers working in the state of Andhra Pradesh are deeply upset. They want AP Minister Nara Lokesh to intervene, hear their plea, and explain how filmmakers are lacking social responsibility when it comes to portraying teachers on the screen.

Inside the film, director Shiva Nirvana portrayed a government teacher as a s*xual predator, helping to lure young girls for the sake of an MLA. Also, government schools are shown in a very bad light too. Owing to that, the Government Teachers Association in AP has criticised the film and demanded an apology from the movie’s team, along with chopping those scenes from the film. However, if those scenes are trimmed out from the movie, then there’s no question of that content connecting with the audience.

With Nara Lokesh being the Education Minister of AP state, many are wondering if he speaks and stands for the teachers or not. At the same time, some say that the makers must have displayed the ‘disclaimer’ more clearly, though they already have one. That said, taking movies more seriously is something not required at the moment, and a lot of films showcase heroes killing goons, but in reality, laws prevent doing such things, isn’t it?
