The debate around ticket pricing in the Telugu film industry has gained traction recently, with producers openly defending the rise in ticket prices. However, there are many views on the same from the viewers' point of view. Meanwhile, we have learned that the government of Andhra Pradesh might consider implementing dynamic pricing in AP.

The other day, in a meeting with AP Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, Grandhi Vishwanath, former president of the Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber and MD of Poornah Pictures, emphasized the need for flexible ticket pricing in the Telugu film industry.

Soon after, the discussion shifted towards dynamic pricing. In this model, ticket prices vary depending on factors such as the film's budget, the day of the week, or even audience demand. This system is already in place in cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, and Delhi, where weekday and weekend prices differ, and high-budget films often command higher ticket rates.

However, implementing this strategy in Telugu might soon become a reality. If not in Telangana, the model may be implemented in AP first. There is speculation that the film industry might lobby for dynamic pricing, especially with Pawan Kalyan serving as the deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, pushing for higher ticket prices.

Pawan Kalyan might respond positively to the request from the producers and we have to wait and watch for the same.
