Sometimes, wars actually change the whole demographic in a single day, and that’s what is happening right now in both Israel and Iran. However, these Middle Eastern countries are a big market for films, and India is the biggest caterer to them.

Though there are no major protests in countries like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, and other Middle Eastern countries where there will be a lot of Indian diaspora regarding the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Kahameini, it looks like this war is not going to end any time sooner than expected. With Iran continuously bombing the Middle East, the USA has already issued a notice to citizens to vacate these countries as soon as possible. How does that affect movie prospects now?

At a time when these Middle East countries are war-torn, and people are literally staying inside the bunkers, though a few are coming out and leading their daily lives, it's uncertain about the future of new releases. Especially a film like Dhurandhar 2, whose prequel was already banned for release regarding its anti-Islamic content, might not see another good release with the second part also.

Back then, when it became such a success, the Middle East distributors pointed out that they lost almost ₹150 crore in revenue with the failed release. The makers anticipated that the second part would make ₹300 crore in revenue easily from this circuit. Now, due to this Israel-Iran war, the film might not see a good release on March 19th, which is likely to affect its box office prospects in the Middle East, especially the UAE and other countries.
