Martial arts expert and also a movie star, Jackie Chan has got worldwide fans for his ability to mix comedy with fights and thus entertained a generation big time. However, in the recent times, the senior star who is aged 72, is not doing many films with most of them not working at the box office. On Tuesday, a death hoax about the star has started doing the rounds.

Apparently, a user posted on Twitter, with an image of Jackie Chan, which is styled like an obituary, and wrote, “Jacki Chan had passed the age of 71 now he’s 72, kung-fu legend. ❤️‍🩹”.

Though there is a sort of satire and appreciation in this, many fans thought that Jackie Chan is no more and the tributes as well as condolences started pouring in. As the post got a reach of more than 7 million in no time, the world got shocked and shattered. However, the community report that will be provided by X.com, has confirmed that the star is alive and kicking.

Jackie Chan however, made a public appearance this year back in July at a school event in Singapore, and later he hasn’t appeared anywhere. That led to almost instant belief that he’s really no more, but then, he’s alive.
