Jagapathi Babu has always been one of those actors who refuse to sit quietly in one corner. After decades of experimenting with roles, hero, villain, father, uncle, and even grey characters, he is now stepping into the shoes of a host with his new talk show Jayammu Nischayammu Raa with Jagapathi on ZEE Network. True to his nature, he says this is not just another celebrity show but a place where stars drop the mask and speak directly to people.

In his words, he calls himself a “dinosaur” in the film industry, but not in a tired sense. He says the journey of almost 35 years has been full of ups, downs, and lessons. He recalls how he never really planned acting as a career, but after hanging around Akkineni Nagarjuna’s film sets as a family friend, the thought hit him: why not give it a try? Since then, he has gone through every shade of character possible, and now, the talk show is his “last resort” to try something new before standing still bores him again.

Jagapathi Babu also opened up about setbacks, saying he doesn’t see himself as special. Everyone has low phases, but success depends on how one moves past them. To explain his belief, he pointed to Gandhi’s turning point on the railway platform. For him, struggles are not excuses, but fuel to keep moving. This raw honesty is what he promises to bring to his show, too, no sugarcoating, no staged drama.

At 63, the Salaar actor is still fit and sharp. With family blessings and audience love, he feels lighter, younger, and more at peace than ever before.
