If the next 5 months fly off, it will be three years for the grand release of “Hanu Man” at the box office, a film that came as an underdog but scored massively. Director Prashant Varma’s superhero fantasy film has truly stunned the audience across India, and people owned it. But then, the director is yet to solidly come out with his next movie. Before that, here comes an interesting rumour.
Already, Kantara fame Rishab Shetty came aboard for “Jai HanuMan” as the movie’s producers, Mythri Movie Makers, have started to shoot for the movie too. And now, reports are coming out that none other than Baahubali star Rana Daggubati is also coming aboard. He is most likely to play the role of Aswaththama in the film, a role that was played by Amitabh Bachchan recently in the movie Kalki 2898 AD.
If at all Rana Daggubati comes aboard, surely the film will get more reach in Bollywood for the kind of image the actor has there. At the same time, with the super success of Kantara: Chapter 1, the prequel of superhit Kantara at the box office, even Rishab Shetty became a household name in the Hindi hinterlands. If Prashant Varma carves out an interesting film, surely it’s going to reap huge benefits.
On the other hand, there are no updates about Jai Hanuman from Mythri Movie Makers and almost all the release slots till January March-April 2026 are already locked.
