Janhvi has officially joined the latest schedule of the film, which is being shot in Hyderabad. A key song sequence featuring her and Ram Charan, along with other cast members, was recently filmed. The movie blends period drama with multiple sports themes, all rooted in a rural setting—a fresh shift for Janhvi as she dives deeper into Telugu cinema.
Directed by Uppena fame Buchibabu Sana and backed by Vriddhi Cinemas, Peddi has big names behind it, including Sukumar Writings and Mythri Movie Makers. With music by A.R. Rahman and a release date locked for March 27 next year, the film is aiming high both in scale and storytelling.
Janhvi’s entry into this world is more than just a casting choice—it’s a move. A slow but steady step into bigger southern narratives, far from her comfort zone, and right into the heart of Telugu cinema’s evolving space.
