Janhvi’s Next: Tribal Queen For Tollywood

The shocker given by ‘Peddi’ is something unexpected, as Bollywood diva Janhvi Kapoor is not even able to talk about Tollywood anywhere. Though she stated during the promotions of the Ram Charan starrer that she goes with the director’s vision, somehow, her extra glamorous looks and director Buchi Babu capitalising too much on the skin show haven’t gone over well with youths. But then, she still has Tollywood hopes lit on.

Though it was not announced yet, it has already come out that Janhvi Kapoor will be next seen in Allu Arjun’s Raaka, which is being directed by Atlee. Reportedly, the young actress is playing the role of a tribal queen in the movie; it’s not glamorous but super powerful and will change the course of the movie. Some say that a special song will be filmed featuring Allu Arjun and Janhvi in a big way, as she’s the only heroine currently the best among the lot of heroines present in Raaka, including Deepika Padukone, Mrunal Thakur and others.

Coming to Janhvi’s Telugu catalogue, in Jr NTR’s Devara, she plays the role of a tribal girl belonging to a fishing village. In Ram Charan’s Peddi, she played the daughter of a rich politician in a village. Now that in Raaka she plays a tribal queen, it looks like Janhvi is doing only rural-centric roles in Tollywood; she does mostly modern girl roles in Bollywood. Hope Raaka will end Janhvi’s quest for purposeful roles in Tollywood.
