Janhvi Kapoor Surprises All With Salary Hike in Telugu

Janhvi Kapoor is once again making news, but this time not for her movies or fashion. It’s her sudden hike in salary that’s shocking everyone, especially in the Telugu film industry. After entering Tollywood with Devara opposite Jr NTR, Janhvi’s popularity has gone up, and so has her payment.

Even though she has done several Hindi films since her debut in Dhadak (2018), she still hasn’t given a blockbuster hit in Bollywood. But her Telugu debut changed things. Her performance in Devara was well received, and now she’s being approached for more Telugu projects.

Reports say Janhvi charged ₹5 crore for Devara. For her next Telugu film Peddi, she asked for ₹6 crore. Now, she’s said to be demanding ₹7 crore for a big-budget project with Allu Arjun and director Atlee. Makers are trying to negotiate, but Janhvi is reportedly standing firm on her price.

Interestingly, while her fee is rising in South India, she is still charging less for Hindi films. Experts feel this could create an imbalance in her career. Meanwhile, Janhvi has two big Bollywood films coming up, Param Sundari with Sidharth Malhotra and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari with Varun Dhawan.
