Janhvi Kapoor Ignores Peddi Again!

Until a day before the release of “Peddi”, Bollywood diva Janhvi Kapoor promoted the film big time along with Ram Charan and AR Rahman. However, on the day of the release, the film amassed huge negativity, especially for the way the actress donned bold outfits in the movie and for how director Buchi Babu Sana showcased her glamour rather directly.

While the glamour poured by Janhvi is not more than what she does on Instagram, surely some debate kicked up, as some started blaming the heroines for accepting such roles for the sake of money. However, a few like Ashika Ranganath, voiced their opinion, saying that heroines do not have much choice, hence they do so. That led to a full-scale war on Peddi, and Janhvi remained throughout. Though the film made ₹400 crores in Tollywood, it didn’t do well in Hindi circles for obvious reasons.

However, usually celebrities were asked by Netflix, like giants, to put up posts of their movies on social media when the film is hitting the digital streaming. Even though Peddi started streaming on Netflix last night, till now, Janhvi Kapoor hasn’t put up a single post regarding the same. It looks like the actress is worried that people might troll her again if she puts up any post, and it’s better to stay quiet.

Well, that’s how people distance themselves from projects even though they are paid crores to do the roles, and producers must have stronger agreements for the sake of promotions, say industry insiders.
