The coining of words like ‘audience is god’ (Prekshaka Devullu), ‘theatres are temple’ (Cinema theatre oka Devalayam) are in use for a long time, and the likes of Megastar Chiranjeevi, to many newcomers, use the word ‘Prekshaka Devullu’ big time. This is because producers want the audience to bless their movies with money, in the form of tickets, and that’s why they make such statements. However, with JD Chakravarthy throwing a satire at such lines today, the issue took a different turn.

Apparently, today JD Chakravarathy mocked the idea of calling the audience as gods and theatres temples. “If theatres are temples, why are you going there with your girlfriends and doing all the things that you usually don’t do in temples?” he asked, triggering a discussion. However, many are carrying the visuals of Sharwanand doing a sashtang namaskar in the theatre of “Biker”, and these words of JD Chakravarthy together, thus indicating that JD has thrown a satire on Sharwa. But this should not be seen like this.

While JD Chakravarthy has his own idea of films, creativity and marketing, every other hero will have their own idea of doing things. Everyone is entitled to perspective, opinion and words, but that doesn’t mean that one is right and one is wrong. Megastar Chiranjeevi himself is calling the audience gods, so there’s no point in making a debate on this, as long as no one is getting offended by that talk. Moreover, JD also called us all “Prekshaku Deyyalu” and that comes from the RGV school he worked at. That’s another story!
