Jeevitha-Rajasekhar Sentenced Jail In 2011 Defamation Case?

Tollywood senior hero Rajasekhar and his actor-director wife Jeevitha faced a big blow with a court slapping them with a jail term in a defamation case. An old case came back to bite them and the court gave orders in this regard. In the defamation case that was filed back in 2011, the court gave orders sentencing them to jail term, reports say.

As per the media reports, the Nampally Magistrate Court gave orders in the 2011 case directing them to serve a jail term for one year. Besides this, the couple was also directed to pay a sum of Rs 5 lakh for the allegations they made.

Going into details, the couple made sensational allegations against Chiranjeevi's blood bank and alleged that the blood was sold in the black market. The allegations they made back then created a big sensation and raised many eyeballs. This happened back in 2011.

Mega producer Allu Arvind filed the case which has been going on for the past 12 years. Having lasted for so many years, the case saw a big development with the court giving the verdict. After 12 long years, the court gave the orders and sentenced the couple to a jail term.

However, the media reports also say that the couple was granted bail by the court in the issue and the couple is also eligible to appeal the case and move the higher court in this regard. We have to wait and see what the couple will do next.
