“I have done War 2 only because of him” : Jr NTR

At the pre-release event of War 2, Jr NTR shared the main reason he chose to act in the film. The movie, which stars Jr NTR alongside Hrithik Roshan, is set to release on August 14, 2025. Speaking at the event in Hyderabad, NTR revealed the pivotal role Aditya Chopra, the head of Yash Raj Films (YRF), played in his decision. He said, "I did this film mainly because of Aditya Chopra. He told me to trust him and promised to make me proud in front of my fans. He convinced me many times and kept insisting until I agreed to be a part of this project. If I hadn’t listened to him, I would have missed out on being a part of such a big film today."

He went on to thank YRF, stating that during his visit to Mumbai, they treated him like family. NTR also expressed his admiration for War 2's director, Ayan Mukerji. He added, "I can never praise Ayan Mukerji enough. He worked tirelessly on this project. There were many sleepless nights, and I know how hard he struggled to manage the two stars. After watching the film, you’ll understand why Ayan was the only choice for directing this film."

NTR spoke about how he couldn’t attend the Brahmastra event as a special guest, but now, as fate would have it, Ayan is directing his film. He concluded by saying, "This is destiny. We are making a great film, and in 2025, it will release across the country, and director name will be known everywhere."
