Director Prashanth Neel made a shocking revelation about Jr NTR and his role in Dragon. He said the character played by NTR is the darkest role he has ever written in his career.

Prashanth Neel revealed that he first discussed the movie with NTR nearly five years ago. At that time, he narrated only the basic line of the story. According to Neel, accepting this role was one of the toughest decisions in NTR’s career.

The director explained that the role is not risky because of action or violence, but because of the emotional drama connected to the character. He said audiences will understand the real reason only after watching the full movie.

Neel also shared that it took him nearly three years to fully write and justify the character’s actions. He wanted every dark action in the story to have a strong emotional reason behind it.

Interestingly, NTR reportedly asked only one important question while discussing the film. He asked whether the drama and emotions behind the character were correct and justified.

Prashanth Neel praised NTR’s understanding of drama and storytelling. He said the actor never asked about elevation scenes or stylish shots. Instead, NTR focused only on whether the emotional journey of the character made sense.

The director described NTR’s decision to accept the role as “very brave.” He said stars of NTR’s level usually avoid extremely dark characters because audiences love them as heroes.

In the teaser, NTR is introduced as “Luger,” an assassin and chief. Neel confirmed that the name comes from a famous gun called Luger P08, and the meaning behind it will be revealed in the movie.

The teaser has already created massive excitement because fans are curious to see NTR in such an intense and dangerous role.
