NTR Hrithik Roshan War 2 Ending Changed For Fans

Jr.NTR’s first big step into Bollywood came with War 2, alongside Hrithik Roshan. Expectations were sky-high, especially from Telugu fans who wanted to see their star shine on the Hindi screen. The movie opened strongly with around 300 crores gross in its first weekend. Action blocks got applause, but many felt the story was too familiar, making the film settle at an “average” level.

The twist, however, is in the climax. As per the original script, NTR’s character was supposed to die. Even NTR confirmed at a pre-release event that this point worried him, but producer Aditya Chopra convinced him by promising that fans would be happy. Bollywood circles now reveal that the ending was indeed altered, NTR’s character is shown alive after faking his death, teaming up with Hrithik in the final frame.

This change is no surprise for Telugu audiences. Time and again, heroes in our films escape death because fans don’t like their star leaving the screen on a tragic note. The same sentiment seems to have influenced War 2. What was once a story-driven death became a “mass-friendly survival,” keeping NTR intact for the future of the YRF spy universe.

Buzz doesn’t stop there. Reports suggest that NTR will get his own solo spy film under YRF. The modified ending of War 2 acts like a teaser for that possibility. Whether or not it happens, one thing is clear fans are thrilled.
