For years, rumors swirled that Suriya�s family didn�t want her to work after marriage, especially since she took a long break from films. However, Jyothika recently cleared the air.

�Most people assumed that Suriya and his family didn�t want me to work after marriage, but that wasn�t true,� she revealed. �Though I had made my intentions clear, it was always Suriya who was being asked about my return to films.�

She also shared how Suriya would often get messages whenever her old films aired on TV. �People would text him saying, �Jo�s film is on TV. She�s done a fabulous job, why don�t you let her act?� And immediately, Suriya would forward those messages to me,� she recalled.
