Controversial Lesbian Love Film Streaming On OTT!

The South Indian cinema space is largely restrictive and compact when it comes to touching new taboos and unconventional topics. One amongst these topics is same gender love, and marriage aspect of the social fabric.

Incidentally, won South Indian film has touched on this trope and it is Tamil film titled Kaadhal Podhuudhaamai. This is a Tamil film featuring several talented actors, including Rohini and Lijomal Jose in the lead roles.

The main attention grabbing point about this film is that it is essentially allowed drama based on the complex lives of two lesbians. Incidentally, two young actresses in Tamil film industry have played the lead roles in this film.

The teaser that was released last month was already a sensation as not many South Indian films are accustomed to lesbian love stories, and same gender tracks. This turned out to be the USP of the film after it premiered on OTT platform Tentkotta.

Considering the unconventional love drama track in the film, featuring not one, but two female leads who play aggressive roles, this film was always expected to grab the attention of OTT audience. In tune with this, the film has now started to trend on OTT.
