Later, the industry changed, and many actresses found it difficult to get good opportunities after marriage or pregnancy. But things are changing once again. Today, many actresses are proving that marriage and motherhood do not stop their careers. Actress Kajal Aggarwal is one of the best examples.
Kajal Aggarwal is now getting ready for the release of her new film The India Story, which will arrive in theatres on July 24, 2026. The movie also features actor Shreyas Talpade. Unlike the glamorous roles she has played in the past, Kajal is seen in a serious and meaningful character in this film.
During a recent interaction, Kajal spoke about why she accepted this project even though she continues to receive many offers from the South film industry. She said becoming a mother has completely changed the way she looks at both life and her career.
According to Kajal, The India Story talks about the food people eat every day and the importance of making healthy choices. As a mother, she now pays much more attention to the food her son and family consume. Because the story connected with her personal life, she felt it was the right film to be part of.
Kajal also shared that she no longer wants to work on a large number of films every year. Instead of doing eight or nine movies, she prefers acting in only three or four carefully selected projects. She believes quality is more important than quantity and wants to choose roles that leave a strong impression on the audience.
The actress is also interested in playing performance-based characters. She will next be seen in an important role in Nandamuri Balakrishna's upcoming film directed by Gopichand Malineni.
After a short break, Kajal is slowly returning with big projects. However, she says that regular commercial mass entertainers are no longer her main focus. She now wants to be part of stories that have meaning and offer challenging characters.
