By: Tupaki Desk | 27 April 2026 4:18 PM ISTKajal Aggarwal is coming up with The India Story, a film that deals with a burning issue. Co-starring Shreyas Talpade and directed by Chettan DK, the project is penned and produced by Sagar B Shinde. The makers have confirmed a July 24 worldwide theatrical release, through Zee Studios in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
The release date poster sees a pesticide sprayer in the courtroom’s witness stand, hinting at the film’s core conflict. In the background, farmlands stretch under a haze of chemical spray, with masked farmers continuing their toil, while a towering court building adds a sense of looming judgment.
The distressed title design and the haunting tagline, Slow Poison in Progress, point toward a narrative rooted in the dangerous overuse of chemicals in agriculture and its ripple effects on lives and systems.
Blending emotional storytelling with a larger societal question, the film positions Kajal Aggarwal at the center of an intense, message-driven narrative. With cinematography by Nishant Bhagwat and music by Mangesh Dhakde, the film aims to leave a lasting impact.
