Exclusive: Kalki 2898 AD Webseries Is Coming

One of the most stunning films made with Prabhas post the Baahubali era is none other than “Kalki 2898 AD” which is directed by Nag Ashwin. Though made with a stupendous budget, invested by Ashwini Dutt’s Vyjayanthi Movies, the film did very well at the box office. As the shooting of Kalki 2 is going on at the moment, here comes exclusive information about the next steps of the director.

Like how Rajamouli is taking Baahubali to the next level by bringing a spin-off story from the Mahishmathi Universe, by bringing the animated Baahubali The Eternals, now Nag Ashwin is also doing a similar experiment. He’s said to be coming up with a special web series that is woven around Dulquer Salman’s character in the film, who is the commander of a ship and father of Prabhas’ character in the film.

Whether Dulquer plays the lead or not is yet to be known, but Nag Ashwin is said to have developed a 90-minute story for the same. Similarly, the character of Sumathi, played by Deepika Padukone earlier, and Sai Pallavi now in Kalki 2, will also feature a similar 90 mins story developed for SonyLiv. Whether these will be animated series or live action is also not known, but Nag Ashwin is seriously developing them at the moment.

On the other hand, many are wondering and looking forward to the triangular fight of Prabhas, Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachhan in Kalki 2, which is likely to hit cinemas next year.
