Swapna Dutt Creates Hype On Prabhas' Role In 'Kalki 2898 AD'!

Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt are known for believing in stories more than heroes and their market values. They made hit movies like 'Evade Subramanyam', 'Jathiratnalu', 'Sita Ramam' and 'Mahanati' till date. For the first time, they are bankrolling a magnum opus like 'Kalki 2898 AD'. With the movie hitting the screens worldwide on 9th May 2024, the makers are shifting gears in terms of promotions.

Though there are reports of the movie getting postponed, the team is yet to reveal anything officially. The look of Prabhas as Bhairava which was released on Maha Shivaratri generated a huge response. Director Nag Ashwin already made some key comments and hyped up the audience. It is now the turn of Swapna Dutt as she revealed some interesting details about Prabhas' character in Kalki 2898 AD.

During her interaction with Taran Adarsh at the South India Film Festival, the analyst asked, “What do you think people will take with them when they watch Kalki and watch Prabhas on screen?” To this, she replied, “I think Bhairava will stay in hearts for a very long time.”

Previously, Nag Ashwin said, “The film starts with Mahabharat and ends in 2898 AD. It spans 6000 years in time. We tried to create worlds, imagining what they would be like while still keeping it Indian, and not make it look like Blade Runner. 6000 years behind 2898 AD is 3102 BC, which is when the last avatar of Krishna is believed to have passed.”

Santosh Narayanan is the music composer while Djordje Stojilijkovic is the director of photography. Ashwini Dutt is the movie's producer. The dystopian backdrop and the look of the actors generated a lot of interest among the viewers. Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Hassan are playing key roles in this movie while Disha Patani is a part of it as well.
