Humongous Day 1 Collection For 'Kalki 2898 AD' Worldwide!

The much-awaited 'Kalki 2898 AD' has released amidst huge expectations on Thursday and it surpassed all of them. The response has been phenomenal and we have seen how people were crazy about it through the advance bookings and pre-sales in the overseas market. The movie got a historic opening and it grossed a massive 191.5 crores worldwide on the first day.

This epic saga, directed by the visionary filmmaker Nag Ashwin, transports the viewers into a world where ancient legends and modern aesthetics seamlessly congregate, with its stunning visuals and intricate set designs. This Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan starrer is nothing short of a cinematic marvel. It stood has the third-highest opener among Indian movies. The movie which broke the highest premiere record overseas, also set new records in a few other territories.

It got 72 crores from the Telugu states and minted 52 crores from North America. It collected 10.5 crores from the Middle East and 9 crores from Europe and the UK. The collections from Karnataka were 10 crores while it got 4 crores from Kerala. It got 6 crores from Tamil Nadu while the amount from North India was 28 crores on its opening. With a total of 191.5 crores, it stood behind two Rajamouli films 'RRR' and 'Baahubali 2'.

It is the highest-grossing opener with its Hindi version as well in 2024, surpassing the previous best figure of Fighter. The movie also featured a stellar cast of Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, and actors like Vijay Deverakonda and Dulquer Salmaan in special roles. Ashwini Dutt is the producer while Santosh Narayanan is the music composer.
