Nag Ashwin Tries To Bring 'Make In India' Initiative Into 'Kalki'!

Young Rebel Star Prabhas' high-budget dystopian action drama 'Kalki 2898 AD' which is being directed by Nag Ashwin has a lot riding on it. It is one of the costliest films made in the country and the teaser took the expectations to a whole new level. Set in a dystopian backdrop, the movie contains a lot of VFX work.

Talking at the VFX Summit of 2023 which is taking place in Hyderabad, Nag Ashwin shared some interesting snippets regarding his much-awaited 'Kalki 2898 AD'. Apparently, he was inspired by the 'Make In India' initiative and planned to get the entire VFX work of the film done in India. But he couldn't go through the plan as it need some work to be done by foreign VFX companies. However, he claimed that the majority of visual effects were completed in India and assured that 100% of the VFX work would be executed in our own country.

As we know, Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is playing a key role in the movie. Kamal Hassan is expected to play the villain's role. Deepika Padukone is the female lead while Disha Patani is also a part of it. The movie may get pushed to the summer season and insiders reveal that the new release date is going to be May 9th, 2024.

Santosh Narayanan is the music composer while Djordje Stojilijkovic is the director of photography. Ashwini Dutt is the movie's producer. Nag Ashwin is the director of this project. Ashwini Dutt is the producer of this film which is being made on a massive scale.
