There were a lot of complaints regarding the lack of buzz on 'Kalki 2898 AD' till a few days back. But the euphoria of this magnum opus has taken over the nation. The promotional content has been all over the social media and the advance bookings have been crazy ever since they opened. The websites got crashed and people are ready to spend thousands of rupees on tickets despite the hike in rates.

The pre-sales in the overseas market have crossed $2 million mark already and many are expecting the film to get over 200 crores worldwide on the first day. The makers did not promote the film heavily in North India as all they did was organize a press meet and release an interview in English. Many expected the film to start slow in the North and pick up if the talk is positive. But trade pundits are surprised to see that the advance bookings of the Hindi version started on a superb note.

As per the analysts, it is highly possible that it might get around 20 crores net on the first day itself and it may extend to 25 crores if the early shows generate positive talk in the North region. If the movie manages to get such huge numbers on the first day, there will be no stopping it as there are no big releases in Hindi for a few weeks and people will be eager to see the visual spectacle on the big screens.

The pre-release business in the North market was done for a reasonable rate and the hype is surely suggesting that they might end up in heavy profits without a doubt. With Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone playing important roles in the film and Prabhas having a big market of his own, let us see how far this movie goes.
