Kalyanram’s Shoulders Burdened With ‘Comedy’

The moment the first-ever promotional stunt video of Anil Ravipudi’s latest movie featuring Venkatesh and Kalyanram was out, there was criticism from one section of the audience. As the ‘Rakta Tilakam’ promo started to get massive attention, featuring the two heroes, the director and heroines Keerthy Suresh and Kriti Shetty along with GV Prakash, this hero is now getting lots of criticism.

Well, many have opined on Twitter that Kalyan Ram is not fitting right in the zone. As Kalyanram’s movies are mostly thing-slapping and action-bonanza kinds, they say that he’s not suiting the comedy zone quite well. They say that alongside the likes of Venkatesh, who is a peak legend in terms of comedy timing, and then Keerthy Suresh, whose timing and acting also stun every time, Kalyanram looks like a miscast. However, just one promo video is out, and judging an actor’s abilities based on that is not really an apt thing to do, is what the actor’s fans say.

All said and done, Kalyanram will surely be burdened with carrying the comedy dose on his shoulders, as Anil Ravipudi’s movies always deal with comedy and cringe entertainment only. But it’s Kalyanram who has also proved his comedy timing with films like Pataas and others, so definitely it all depends on how the director extracts work from it.
