Actor Kamal Haasan recently faced an unusual and awkward moment during a party meeting in Chennai when a group of his supporters gifted him a sword. The incident caused a brief commotion and forced the actor to lose his cool in front of the crowd.

A video from the event shows Kamal Haasan initially smiling as he accepts the gift and poses for photos alongside his fans. However, things soon turned hectic as more people tried to come up to him. Kamal’s expression changed, and he was seen signaling a man to put down the sword immediately.

Security stepped in to control the situation. A police officer safely removed the sword and kept it aside while Kamal tried to calm down. Despite his visible displeasure, the man who presented the sword insisted on shaking Kamal’s hand and taking a picture with him before being led away by security.

Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan is currently involved in another controversy related to his comments on the Kannada language.

The actor recently claimed during an event that Kannada traces its roots back to Tamil, a remark that triggered strong backlash in Karnataka. The controversy resulted in many political leaders, as well as the Karnataka Film Chamber, asking Kamal Haasan to issue a formal apology.
