Is Kamal's Character In 'Kalki 2898 AD' Inspired By Kamsa?

There is a lot of talk about the highly-anticipated visual spectacle 'Kalki 2898 AD'. There are giant expectations on this movie and there is a lot of discussion about the movie getting released on 27th June 2024. The makers have also recently confirmed it through an official poster. The stalwarts of the Indian film industry such as Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani are doing lead roles in this movie.

While Prabhas is playing the lead role of Bhairava in the movie, the team introduced Amitabh Bachchan as Ashwatthama recently. Now, we are hearing something interesting about the role of Kamal Haasan in the movie. Apparently, a glimpse has been readied about his character and it will be coming out soon.

As per sources, the legendary actor's role is inspired by Kamsa in Hindu mythology. We all know that Kamsa does any kind of atrocity to stay in power which even involves killing his own nephew who is still unborn. Apparently, this villainous character is the reference point for Nag Ashwin and the team to write Kamal's role in the movie. He will be seen having a Hitler mentality and it is going to be a feast to watch him play such a character.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD is set to be the biggest cinematic event of the year. With an incredible cast and backed by Vyjayanthi Movies, it's gearing up for its release at the end of June. Ashwini Dutt is the movie's producer. Santosh Narayanan is the music composer while Djordje Stojilijkovic is the director of photography.
