Do You Know Why Kamal Took So Long To Say 'Yes' For 'Kalki'?

With less than 48 hours left for the release of 'Kalki 2898 AD', people are waiting to witness this unseen story to unfold on the big screens. The promotions are almost done and the pre-release business turned out to be huge. The advance bookings and phenomenal and hype on this movie is unreal. As we know, the team recently sat for an interview and producer Swapna Dutt said, “One of the most difficult casting ever was Kamal sir.”

She added, “You know we were shooting, but then like, 'Yaskin, when is Yaskin coming? The whole film is Yaskin but where is Yaskin?' And how would you cast this person who is equal and true or like mightier than these two superheroes? Who is it? And then we could only think of Kamal sir. It took us one year to figure this.”

To this Kamal replied, "It's not a question of torture. Self-doubt comes you know. He has done this. What am I going to do? That was the reason. And it's not that I've played bad guys before. Even as a lead bad guy, psychopaths and all that. But this is something else."

Amitabh stated that he is reading Ramcharitmanas these days and he wrote, "We are in time after ages .. and the age of the ages is beginning to get a control .. which is recommended and practised all over .. so the effect of that early bird shall be exercised and the results reverted upon .. some wisdom from the Ramcharitmanas .. Words to Garud .. but my weak immature attempt : without knowing divinity , there is no belief .. without belief there is no love, and without love how can there be devotion .. just like the reflected smoothness of water is never still or stagnant .. without a guru, there can be no learning ; without reclusion, quietude can there be learning .. the Veda and the Puraan say that without the prayer devotion to Hari , can there be peace and calm .. can a boat ever move without being in water .. without the earth can there be trees that grow .. and many more such examples .. to exemplify the presence and the prayers to the Almighty , the absence of which a lot is not possible .. I pray for eternal peace and calm .. Who so ever listens to it , may there be fructification ..Love."
