It is a pan-Indian film featuring Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan in the lead role while legendary filmmaker Shankar directed it under the Lyca Productions banner. There is not much of hype around this movie and buyers are expecting the buzz to increase as the release date gets nearer.
But what Kamal Haasan is saying in the public events is worrying them as well as the audience. He said, “If I have to be honest, the very reason I agreed to do part two of the Indian is the part three of the franchise. I'm a big fan of part three. We still have six more months to release it and I can't wait for its release in theatres.”
He practically claimed that the main stuff lies in the third part and everything that will be shown in 'Indian 2' is basically a setup for it. There is already a talk that Siddharth's character will have more prominence in 'Indian 2' and Kajal Agarwal is going to be present only in 'Indian 3'. Also, sources claim that Senapathi's father will also make an appearance in the third part. It looks like all the surprises are hidden in the third part and one wonders what Shankar is presenting us in 'Indian 2'.
With 'Kalki 2898 AD' fever still going on in Telugu states and North India, the makers of 'Indian 2' are already finding it tough to promote their film. Kamal's statements are working against the movie. While Shankar is claiming that 'Indian 2' will showcase Kamal Haasan in full glory, Kamal's words are hyping 'Indian 3' than the release ahead of us. The audience may think that they can watch the third part directly and see 'Indian 2' when it arrives on OTT or television just for context. The shooting for the third part is already done and the makers are planning to release it according to the response of 'Indian 2'. Let us see how things turn out.
