The mythological action film Kannappa is gaining strong attention across the country even before completing its first week at the box office. In an exciting development, the Hindi satellite rights of Kannappa have been acquired by a leading distribution agency for a whopping ₹20 crore. This deal highlights the film’s growing popularity and its potential as a true pan-India project.

Kannappa, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and written by Vishnu Manchu, is based on the legendary story of Kannappa, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva. The film is produced by veteran actor and filmmaker Mohan Babu and features a star-studded cast. Big names like Mohanlal, Kajal Aggarwal, Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, and Brahmanandam appear in important roles, adding more strength to the film’s nationwide appeal.

The movie had a strong start on its first day (Friday), earning an impressive ₹9.35 crore, with the Telugu version leading with ₹8.25 crore. However, collections slightly dipped over the weekend. On Saturday, the film collected ₹7.15 crore, and Sunday saw a further decrease to ₹6.9 crore. By Monday, the earnings dropped more noticeably to ₹2.50 crore (early estimates).

Despite the dip in daily earnings, the buzz around Kannappa remains strong, especially due to its mythological theme and the powerful performances by popular actors. The ₹20 crore satellite rights deal in Hindi proves that the film has caught the attention of a national audience.
