Kantara Magic: Next To Kalki and Pushpa 2

South Indian cinema has produced another winner in the form of Kantara Chapter 1. This film is currently going on a pretty good run at the box office, and it has reached the magnificent levels of Kalki and Pushpa 2.

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 has joined Pushpa 2 and Kalki 2898 AD in achieving a rare box-office feat. The film has recorded over one million ticket sales per day on BookMyShow for four consecutive days, a milestone only a few Indian films have reached.

After a decent start, the movie witnessed a massive surge in collections. On its opening day, Kantara: Chapter 1 reportedly earned around ₹90 crore, and within four days, the worldwide collection touched nearly ₹330 crore.

The ticket sales remained strong throughout the first weekend 1.28 million on Thursday, 1.27 million on Friday, 1.30 million on Saturday, and 1.04 million on Sunday.

Directed by Rishab Shetty and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films, the movie stars Rishab Shetty, Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, and Gulshan Devaiah in key roles. Despite limited pre-release hype, the film’s success grew rapidly after release due to strong word-of-mouth and audience appreciation.

Now, all eyes are on how the film performs during weekdays. If the trend continues, Kantara: Chapter 1 could become one of the biggest blockbusters of the year, further solidifying Hombale Films’ reputation for delivering pan-India hits.
