Kantara Chapter 1 breaks all records for Telugu states pre-biz

Kantara The Legend film starring actor-writer-director Rishab Shetty has become a sensational Pan-India blockbuster. The movie collected record numbers in Telugu states and earned a cult following. Now, the prequel for the film, Kantara Chapter 1 is releasing on 1st October 2025.

The movie has unprecedented hype and anticipation which has resulted in record breaking Rs.100 crores pre-release business from just Telugu States. The movie rights have been sold for Rs.40 crores in Nizam, Rs.45 crores in Coastal Andhra region and Rs.15 crores in Ceded areas.

This is on par with any big star hero film and the craze for this big budget prequel is unprecedented to say the least. Hombale Films are producing this massive film with Rukmini Vasanth in leading lady role with Gulshan Devaiah in a prominent role. The movie is set to create history at the box office as the expectations are sky high.
