Kollywood superstar Karthi, known for his captivating performances in films like "Oopiri," "Kaithi," and "Ponniyin Selvan," is gearing up to enthrall audiences with his 29th film. Tentatively titled "Karthi29," this highly anticipated project is being helmed by the critically acclaimed director Tamizh, and it is produced by the renowned Dream Warrior Pictures.

The film's first look poster, released earlier, sparked immense excitement among fans. The intriguing image showcased a majestic ship sailing through the vast ocean, with a vintage color palette that added a touch of nostalgia.

Now, we have an exciting update on the film's backdrop. In an interview conducted before the official announcement of "Karthi29," director Tamizh revealed that his next venture would be set against the backdrop of smuggling in the picturesque Rameshwaram district of Tamil Nadu. The story unfolds in the 1960s, promising a thrilling and immersive experience for viewers.

Although the director didn't confirm Karthi's involvement at the time, he did mention that Dream Warriors Pictures would be producing the film. And considering the poster's alignment with Tamizh's description, it's highly probable that Karthi will indeed be the lead actor in "Karthi29."

Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of this exciting project, eager to see what Karthi and the talented team have in store. In addition to "Karthi29," Karthi is also busy with other projects, including "Vaathi" starring Krithi Shetty and Sathyaraj, directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, and "Sardar 2" starring S. J. Suryah, Malavika Mohanan, and Ashika Ranganath, directed by P.S. Mithran.
