Ace director SS Rajamouli’s son Karthikeya is playing the role of producer now, as he joined films like Varanasi as well as Don’t Trouble The Trouble, and made some stunning statements during the interviews. One is that he claimed that his father hasn’t got enough edge in the Northern parts of India even after Baahubali’s success.

Apparently, Karthikeya stated that it’s Prabhas who got massive fame with the success of Baahubali, but not Rajamouli. Many are wondering why Karthikeya even made that statement about his father, because many think that Rajamouli’s name alone could sell tickets most of the time. Whatever Karthikeya said might be true, but then, Rajamouli followed up Baahubali with the stunning RRR, with two relatively new faces in the North, though both Charan and NTR are superstars in Telugu. The success of RRR really made Rajamouli a name to bank upon.

Also, we should underline the fact that most of the time, when a film explodes at the box office, it’s the heroes and heroines who get more massive attention than the directors. But then, times are changing, and the young audience is more interested in the directors these days than actors, and that has also been proven in recent times. So, Rajamouli might not have got huge craze in Hindi hinterlands like Prabhas with Baahubali, but surely he broke that mould with RRR, and Varanasi might be his next biggest weapon ready to be unleashed.
