I Wanted To Win Oscar For Ramoji Rao garu: Keeravani

Renowned businessman and media baron Ramoji Rao has passed away leaving the media and film fraternity in tears. His demise shocked everyone and celebrities are paying their tributes. Lot of politicians, actors, producers and directors have visited to give their last respects to his posthumous body. At this point in time, an old video of legendary music composer MM Keeravani is going viral now.

After he won the Oscar, MM Keeravani said at a felicitation event that he wanted to win the Oscar for Ramoji Rao. He added that his wife used to say that one should live like Ramoji Rao for at least a day. He remembered the time when Ramoji Rao asked him to bring Oscar to India someday. He claimed that he thought of the great man immediately when the award was announced.

Ramoji Rao is the chairman of Eenadu media group and he owns a production house as well. He built the biggest film studio in India and every film industry comes and shoots in Ramoji Film City. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “The passing away of Shri Ramoji Rao Garu is extremely saddening. He was a visionary who revolutionized Indian media. His rich contributions have left an indelible mark on journalism and the world of films.”

He added, “Through his noteworthy efforts, he set new standards for innovation and excellence in the media and entertainment world. Ramoji Rao Garu was extremely passionate about India's development.
