Vijay Is Rewriting His Story as a Leader, Says Keerthy Suresh

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and popular actor Vijay celebrated his 52nd birthday on June 22. This birthday is very special because it is his first birthday after becoming the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Many celebrities, politicians, and fans wished him on social media.

Actress Keerthy Suresh also shared a heartfelt birthday message for Vijay. She posted a photo with him and spoke about his journey from cinema to politics. Keerthy said that for many years, Vijay’s birthday was always connected with exciting movie updates. Fans would eagerly wait for a first-look poster, teaser, trailer, or a new film announcement on his special day.

However, this year feels different. Keerthy said that instead of introducing a new movie character, Vijay is now starting a new chapter as a leader. She praised him for taking up the responsibility of serving the people and wished him success in his political journey.

Vijay entered politics by launching his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). In 2024, he announced that he would contest the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. He later traveled across the state, met people, and shared his vision for Tamil Nadu.

In the 2026 Assembly elections, TVK performed strongly and won enough seats to form the government with support from its allies. Vijay also contested from two constituencies and won both of them with impressive margins. After becoming Chief Minister, he chose to continue as the MLA from the Perambur constituency.

Vijay is often compared to legendary actor-politicians such as N. T. Rama Rao, M. G. Ramachandran, and J. Jayalalithaa, who successfully balanced cinema and public service.

Meanwhile, Vijay’s final film, Jana Nayagan, is yet to be released. The movie faced delays due to certification issues. Authorities are also investigating the online leak of footage related to the film.
