By: Priya Chowdhary Nuthalapti | 1 May 2026 7:02 PM ISTMythri Movie Distributors LLP has released an official letter about the problems faced by their latest film Jetlee. The letter was written by their designated partner, Kethireddy Sasidhar, on May 1, 2026. In this letter, he clearly explained the situation and expressed strong concern over what is happening.
According to the letter, there is an ongoing issue in Telangana related to single-screen theatres. This issue is about weekly rental payments and revenue sharing terms. Because of this disagreement, some single-screen theatres have already decided not to screen films distributed by Mythri. The company said they respected this decision earlier, even though the issue was not solved.
However, the main problem now is different. Sasidhar stated that Jetlee is being stopped from screening in multiplex theatres. He explained that there is no disagreement at all when it comes to multiplex terms. Both sides have no issues in that area. So, blocking the film in multiplexes is not fair.
In the letter, he strongly said that stopping a film in multiplexes just to create pressure regarding another issue is not acceptable. He described this action as “arm twisting” and said it feels like unfair pressure is being used against them. He also mentioned that using one part of the business to influence another part is not the right way to handle things.
Mythri said they always believe in fair and clear discussions. They are ready to talk about the single-screen issue anytime. But they also made it clear that such discussions should not affect other areas like multiplex releases.
Finally Sasidhar requested the concerned parties to rethink their decision and allow Jetlee to release in multiplexes without any delay. He also asked them to act responsibly and maintain fairness in business.
