He revealed that before Samantha was approached for the song, the team originally considered actress Ketika Sharma. “When Ketika Sharma was approached for the special song in Robin Hood, she immediately agreed. In fact, we had planned to cast her for a song in Pushpa: The Rise even before discussions with Samantha began. That opportunity didn’t work out back then, but now it has materialized in Robin Hood. We sincerely thank Ketika for taking it up,” he said.

Samantha’s Oo Antava went on to become a global sensation, crossing a staggering 1 billion views. Given her star power and established fanbase, the song’s success was almost inevitable.
