Big Movies Get That College, But Not Me : Kiku Chiranjeevi Hero

The upcoming Telugu movie Kiku Chiranjeevi is creating interest ahead of its theatrical release. At a recent movie event, lead actor Kiku Yanamala spoke openly about the difficulties he faced while promoting his first film. He also thanked the media and senior actors who supported the team.

Kiku Yanamala said that media people play an important role in taking new actors and films closer to audiences. He thanked the journalists who attended the event and supported the film. He also remembered senior actors such as Eswari Rao, Tanikella Bharani, Srikanth Iyengar and Ali for giving their time and encouraging the team.

However, the actor also spoke about an experience that hurt him during the promotions. He said his team had earlier received permission from a college to conduct a promotional event. Because they believed the permission was confirmed, he travelled across Andhra Pradesh for promotions and could not approach some other colleges.

After returning, the team tried to contact the same college again, but they did not receive a proper response. Kiku said this was disappointing because even a small event with around 700 students would have helped a new film get attention.

Kiku Yanamala also said that the same college had recently given permission for a big movie’s pre-release event. He recalled that the college founder in that movie event proudly spoke about how he reached that position after working hard by selling milk and flowers. Kiku said he respects that journey, but felt hurt that the founder could not understand the struggle of newcomers like him. He questioned why a person who knows the value of hard work could not support their efforts by giving them even a small opportunity to promote their film.

He also shared another upsetting experience at theatres. Kiku said that when he visited some theatres to see his first movie poster, he found that the poster had been removed and another movie poster had been placed there. He said he had nothing against the other movie and wanted every film to succeed, but felt that removing his poster without consideration was painful.

Kiku said that making a movie is already a difficult journey. New actors have to struggle during production, post-production and promotions. He requested people in the industry to support newcomers instead of ignoring them.

Kiku Chiranjeevi is a Telugu survival drama thriller scheduled to release in theatres on August 28, 2026. Kiku Yanamala and Kashish Khan play the lead roles, while Eswari Rao, Tanikella Bharani, Goparaju Ramana, Srikanth Iyengar and Viva Raghava are part of the supporting cast. The movie is directed by Subha Sai Venkat and produced by Deepti Nadiminti under Kiku Entertainments. Shekar Chandra is composing the music.
