Kiran and Dulquer Face Off in Epic Premiere!
Interestingly, both Lucky Bhaskar and Ka have something in common-they’re both period dramas set in the 80s and 90s.
By: Tupaki Desk | 30 Oct 2024 7:26 AM GMTThe box office is like a battlefield, and this Diwali, two contenders—Kiran and Dulquer Salmaan—are ready to clash in a Premier War. As the excitement builds, these cinematic warriors are gearing up for a showdown that starts even before the actual release day. Both films will hit the screens a day earlier, drawing the attention of eager audiences and the media alike.
Dulquer Salmaan, with his film Lucky Bhaskar, has been working hard to carve out a niche in the Telugu market. After director Venky Atluri’s success with Dhanush, he took his time perfecting this project. The trailer teases a higher-than-expected budget, with Sitara’s production house going all out on the retro-themed film. From the nostalgic setting to Meenakshi Chaudhary’s charm and GV Prakash Kumar’s music, the film is packed with all the right ingredients to impress. Premieres will start at 7 p.m., with the buzz building up.
On the other hand, Kiran has invested around fifteen crores into Ka, featuring Kiran Abbavaram. While the film's business projections are moderate, the makers are optimistic about recovering costs through rights. Thanks to promotions, a trailer launch with Naga Chaitanya as the special guest, and pre-release events, the film has generated some hype. But with weaker advance bookings, the premieres tonight are critical in shaping audience perceptions.
Interestingly, both Lucky Bhaskar and Ka have something in common—they’re both period dramas set in the 80s and 90s. The challenge for these films will be connecting their stories to modern audiences. Music, too, is in a similar boat: while both movies have received positive feedback, they’ve yet to deliver chart-topping hits. Amid the buzz of other releases like Amaran and Bagheera, Kiran and Dulquer are still the ones to watch.
As the box office war approaches, let's hope these two movies emerge as joint winners. If not, well, there’s always the sequel to settle the score!
